On this page are the results of my blood pressure readings so far: (oldest first), since I started taking them at the end of December 2025.
My first set of readings representing the period from 30th December 2025 to 12th January 2026 showing an average Systolic reading of 129.23 and an average Diastolic reading of 89.84.
Average Systolic = 118.64 Average Diastolic = 85.71
Average Systolic = 118.21 Average Diastolic = 83.45
Average Systolic = 108.86 Average Diastolic = 76.38

Had an 8 day gap after having a hernia operation at York Hospital on the 21st March.
During this period - Box breathing during readings, no added salt, caffeine close to zero, cacao, hibiscus tea started on the 17th, aged garlic on the 30th March
Average Systolic = 114.10 Average Diastolic = 77.03
During this period - Box breathing during readings, no added salt, caffeine close to zero, cacao (2 squares 70% chocolate), hibiscus tea (3 glasses) started on the 17th March, 2 drops of supplement containing Cayenne Pepper, Hawthorn, Beetroot and Turmeric, Aged garlic (1 capsule per day) started on the 30th March.
Average Systolic = 107.91 Average Diastolic = 77.35
During this period - Box breathing during readings, no added salt, caffeine close to zero, cacao (2 squares 70% chocolate), hibiscus tea (3 glasses) started on the 17th March, 2 drops of supplement containing Cayenne Pepper, Hawthorn, Beetroot and Turmeric, Aged garlic (1 capsule per day) started on the 30th March.

All the above are changes to my morning breakfast routine. As such they take very little time to prepare. I haven't really made many changes to what I eat or drink at other times apart from avoiding having extra salt, too much dairy and too many carbohydrates.
I have mentioned some suppliers here but this is by no means an endorsement for any of them! Given that I don't really know what is beneficial and what is not, my plan is to keep taking my readings at least once a day. If one of the commercial supplements runs out I may choose to drop it and see what happens and whether my results suffer as a consequence although I realise that it could take months to gauge the effect!
